MPs will get the final say on decisions of war and peace, the government has confirmed.
The decision is the symbolic centrepiece of Gordon Brown’s constitutional package, and intended to signal a clear break with the Blair era and the previous prime minister’s handling of the decision to invade Iraq in 2003.
