As I child I loved going to the meat and veg market with my grandfather.We would meander through the open market place looking for the best and ripest fruit and veg. He taught me how to chose perfect apples, pears, peaches, chikus, loose jacket oranges, pumpkin, onions, corriader, yams, potatoes etc… He taught me how to chose, weigh, smell and above all BARGAIN. What fun I would have. All the farmers knew us well and would give me a piece of fruit here and there. for more click here
